Playground is open

On Friday, September 4, 2020, Governor Brown’s office updated the Statewide Reopening Guidance for Outdoor Recreation. Playgrounds are open, but equipment is not sanitized. Park users are being asked to ensure that physical distancing of at least six (6) feet between people of different parties is maintained at outdoor playgrounds.

Additional guidance from 11.18.20 follows:

  • Public is encouraged to visit parks and recreation areas close to home, avoid overnight trips, and minimize travel outside their immediate area for recreation.
  • Public is cautioned to not travel outside of their home area if they live in an area with a high number of reported COVID-19 cases.
  • Visitors are encouraged to bring their own food, water bottles and hygiene supplies (including hand sanitizer), as well as to take their trash with them when they leave.
  • The public is encouraged to recreate with their own household members rather than with those in their extended social circles.
