Opportunity to review and discuss Police Department’s policies

Invitation from the Mayor of Tualatin below:

Join the conversation.

Earlier this summer, I signed the Obama Foundation’s “Mayor’s Pledge” to review and discuss police use of force policies in Tualatin. I did this with the support of the Tualatin City Council, the Tualatin Police Department, and the entire City organization. It was clear to me then, as it is now, that this is a community priority.

I am writing today to ask you, members of the diverse Tualatin Community, to join me as we collectively review and discuss our Police Department’s use of force policies.

Over this fall and winter, we will convene groups of community members to gather for a three-part series of conversations about our Police Department’s use of force policies. Each session will have a different agenda and we ask that you make time to participate in all three. Following these conversations, we will present our findings back to the City Council and community.

  • Session One: October 14 from 6pm – 7:30 pm
  • Session Two: November 18 from 6pm – 7pm
  • Session Three: December 9 from 6pm – 7pm
