Project Complete – Ki-a-Kuts Bike & Pedestrian Bridge Maintenance

The Ki-a-Kuts Bike and Pedestrian Bridge maintenance project is now complete.
The City of Durham and its’ bridge partners thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to keep this bridge a key community connection for decades to come.

The October 1st Planning Commission meeting will be held at the Juanita Pohl Center – Dining Room, which can accommodate more members of the public than Durham City Hall. At the October 1st meeting, Durham’s Tree Committee will present its’ work to the Planning Commission.
The meeting start time is 7:30pm.
The Juanita Pohl Center is located at 8513 SW Tualatin Rd, Tualatin, OR 97062.

November 2nd Invasive Plant Removal Event
November 2, 2024
Durham residents and SOLVE are teaming up to remove invasive plant species from the City’s treed lot located on Upper Boones Ferry Road between SW Rivendell Drive & Willowbottom Way. The event takes place on November 2nd from 9 – 11 am. Drop boxes, to dispose of the invasive plant material, will be provided by Pride Disposal.

What to Bring: Please wear closed-toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience. Feel free to bring your personal tools if available and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
What’s Provided: Tools and gloves will be available, but it is helpful if you can bring your own gloves, hand saws, and loppers/pruners. Drinking water container will be available.
Restrooms: No public restrooms are available

2024 City Council Election: Candidate Update
November 30, 2024
Eligible voters in Durham will elect 4 new City Council members on November 5th, 2024. The three candidates running for the three 4-year term City Council positions are: Leslie Gifford (incumbent), Gary Paul (incumbent) and David Streicher. The one candidate running for the one unexpired 2-year term City Council position is Sean Lee. Durham’s newly elected City Councilor members will be sworn in at the January 2025 City Council meeting.
